Whilst not a part of the Eastern Series I have said that I will assist JT (John "did you see he got a 5th at the Finn Masters" Torrance ) and the JCC (Joint Combined Clubs) in promoting the above event which will take place over the August Bank Holiday as part of Burnham Week.
The Racing is being run from the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club and camping (and parking for Motorhomes) is available on site. As it is part of Burnham Week there is a positive surfeit of social events going on. Entry to the event gives you a wrist band to admit you to all the clubs and the various themed events.
The racing will be run by the slick team at the RCYC who run the slightly more famous Endeavour Trophy and will be over the same courses using comittee boat starts.
Combine this with the presence of everything from Squibs to Class 1 yachts sailing and it is an event not to miss.
The class association have given the event their blessing and it will therefore be an ideal tune up event before the Nationals. This could be your last chance to get match fit, tweak the boat and get sails measured....
The actual dates / times of races are therefore :-
Saturday 29th August 12:10 / 14:10
Sunday 30th August 11:10 / 14:10
Monday 31st August 11:10 / 14:10
Prizegiving will be at 16:00 on the Monay and will be held at the RCYC.
Entry fee for three great days racing is reduced from £75 to £35
Sponsorship and further stuff to follow
Online Entry is now open on the Burnham Week Website www.burnhamweek.org.uk
